Hoggs Hollow Condo
An Urban Sanctuary for an Art Collector
Nestled in the heart of Hoggs Hollow, this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo underwent a stunning transformation. Our client, drawn to the large terrace and sweeping views, envisioned their home as an urban sanctuary where their extensive art collection could take centre stage. Our goal was to create a minimal, luxurious canvas that would both showcase their artwork and provide a serene retreat from city life.
The design focused on small yet impactful details, starting with trimless baseboards featuring a shadow reveal, offering a clean, minimalist look. Lighting played a central role in defining the space. Trimless downlights provided soft illumination, while directional lights highlighted the client’s curated art pieces. A custom ceiling fixture in the hallway mimics the natural glow of a skylight, bringing an ethereal touch to the corridor and enhancing the gallery-like feel throughout the home.
PROJECT SYNOPSIS
The foyer acts as a gateway to the rest of the condo, with monochromatic architectural finishes such as polished natural stone and elegant herringbone wood flooring. This space feels like a curated gallery, perfectly setting the tone for the luxurious experience that follows. Curved edges and clean lines dominate the aesthetic, bringing balance and sophistication.
To maintain a seamless flow between the study and living room, we opted for a custom millwork unit instead of a traditional wall. This bespoke piece not only divides the spaces but also serves as a functional storage solution, featuring a stunning three-sided fireplace. The millwork unit adds warmth and cohesion, creating a sense of openness while maintaining the distinct purpose of each room.

The kitchen continues the minimal, luxurious narrative with bronze-clad cabinetry and back painted glass cabinetry, adding depth through light reflection and refraction. Every cabinet features custom bronze linear pulls, designed specifically for this project to enhance the luxurious feel while maintaining the minimalist aesthetic. Intentional use of space was key in this urban condo, and every inch of the kitchen was designed with precision and purpose.

In the principal bathroom, we extended the bronze theme to create a bold yet tranquil environment. The custom dual vanity, with its elongated concrete sink, offers a seamless, modern look, complete with ample storage. Vintage copper fixtures, custom-finished to match, add warmth and serve as the perfect finishing touch to this sophisticated space.
Deep teal tiles, paired with built-in cove lighting, evoke a moodier, spa-like ambiance, while the back wall’s 3D tiles catch subtle light for added texture. The shower and vanity areas are enveloped in luxurious Elba Blue marble from Ciot | Stone & Tile, providing a serene contrast to the deep teal.
This urban condo was designed with precision and intent, turning each corner into a visually captivating yet functional space. The result is an extraordinary urban oasis, blending modern design with the soul of an art gallery—a place where every detail is intentional, and the art of living is celebrated.
