RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
When our clients first came to us, their kitchen was more than 20 years overdue for a refresh, with a closed-off layout that made hosting family and friends a challenge. They wanted a space where everyday family life and lively holiday gatherings could flow effortlessly. Enter CARV, and our mission was clear: create a kitchen that would feel as welcoming for daily breakfasts as it would for hosting dinner parties—while keeping it timeless, functional, and undeniably beautiful.
We started by breaking down barriers—literally. Merging the kitchen and dining areas into one open space gave this home the flow it was missing. At the heart of this redesign is the show-stopping 12-foot island. Clad in stained white oak with a quartz countertop, it’s not just a workspace but a gathering point, featuring a prep sink and enough seating for everyone to cozy up to. From morning coffees to late-night chats, this island is where life happens.
Keeping things classic yet contemporary, we opted for custom white cabinetry and sleek nickel hardware. The seamless panel-ready appliances and fully integrated wine fridge maintain a clean, polished look, while hidden storage ensures the kitchen stays clutter-free—because no one wants chaos when cooking up a storm.
One of our favourite touches? The custom blue banquette with channeled tufting, paired with the client’s original dining table. It’s a nod to their personal story while providing a cozy spot for everyday meals. And let’s not forget the 48" gas range—a cooking powerhouse for weeknight dinners or holiday feasts, framed by a backdrop of clean lines and classic design.
For the coffee enthusiasts, we installed a built-in Thermador espresso machine—perfect for brewing their daily pick-me-up. The pendant lights overhead, with their polished nickel finish, add a hint of sophistication while reflecting natural light to keep things bright and airy.
